Women’s Cross Country Names 22 Student-Athletes To Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. – Twenty-two student-athletes from the Holy Cross women’s cross country team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league on Friday. Boston University led the way with 23 student-athletes making the Honor Roll.
Junior Haley Leishman led the way for Holy Cross with a 3.86 grade-point average, making the list for the third-straight year, while seniors Emily Iannaconi and Caroline Morano posted their fourth years in a row making the Academic Honor Roll. Seniors Caroline Carr, Kirsty Gargiulo, as well as juniors Hannah Jeter, Zoe Matherne and Annie Sullivan made their third appearances on the list. Registering a second year on the Academic Honor Roll was senior Rachel Sowinski, juniors Alexandria Benoit and Kate Spitler, as well as sophomores Katherine Guilbo and Kerri Keohane.
Senior Kara McCormack and juniors Elizabeth Lombardo and Claire Turner received the honor for the first time and were joined by sophomores Molly Desrochers and Christina Nee, as well as freshmen Allie Christian, Charlotte Kurzweil, Allison McArdle and Deana Pileika,
A total of 150 student-athletes from women’s cross country teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average or higher during the fall semester.
