Hannah Jeter Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Hannah Jeter, a member of the Holy Cross women's cross country and track and field teams, has been selected to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District I squad. The team is comprised of players from Division I schools in the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Jeter was named the 2016 Patriot League Scholar Athlete of the Year in cross country, after leading the team to a third place finish at the Patriot League Championship and a second place finish at the ECAC Championship. As an individual, she placed sixth in the Patriot League and fourth in the ECAC, while receiving first team All-Patriot League and All-ECAC honors. On the track, Jeter came in fifth in the 10,000-meter run (37:08.07) at the Patriot League outdoor championship, in addition to posting the fastest time on the team in the 5,000-meter run (17:45.29).

A five-time Academic All-Patriot League selection (twice in cross country, twice in outdoor track and field and once in indoor track and field), Jeter owns a 3.91 cumulative grade point average with a major in Economics.

By earning Academic All-District honors, Jeter will now be on the ballot for Academic All-America honors. The Academic All-America team will be announced on June 23.
