Women's Cross Country Takes Third at UNH, Gasparrini Leads the Way
DURHAM, N.H. - The Holy Cross women's cross country team took third out of four teams at the University of New Hampshire on Saturday, Sept. 1. Providence placed first with three runners in the top five finishers. The Friars finished with 22 points, UNH took second with 45 points, Holy Cross recorded 59 points for third and Dartmouth placed fourth with 116 points.
Junior Jenna Gasparrini led the Crusaders with a third place finish (17:47.36) in the 5k. Junior Allison McArdle had the next best time of 18:51.31 and took 12th place. Freshman Paige Davis recorded a 13th place finish in her first career race with a time of 19:15.18.
Holy Cross will travel to Smithfield, R.I., for the Nassaney Invitational hosted by Bryant on Sept. 8.
