Diggins received the team's “Crewsader” Award, which is the MVP/Unsung Hero Award that is given to a student-athlete who shows her passion for rowing as well as the team by consistently going above and beyond while encouraging her teammates to do the same.

Diggins served as the team captain in both her junior and senior seasons, and she was a 360 Leader in the Holy Cross Leadership Academy. Diggins was a four-year member of the varsity eight including the boat that placed third at the 2015 Patriot League Championship.

CAREY WINS SECOND STRAIGHT CRUSADERS' HELM AWARD

Carey earned the Crusaders' Helm Award for the second straight season. The award is named after the helmet that is worn by Crusaders, as well as the helm of a ship which gives the ship direction. This award is given to an athlete that becomes the best teammate by always following the “21 Ways to be a Great Teammate.”

She was a three-year member of the varsity eight. She was also a member of the varsity eight that won the Petite Final at the 2017 Patriot League Championship. As a junior she earned second team All-Patriot League honors. Carey is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory committee (SAAC), and received Patriot League Academic Honor Roll accolades for each of her first three years on the team.

COACHES AWARD GOES TO BECKERMAN

Beckerman received the Coaches Award, which goes to the first-year team member that most embraces the team's core values. Beckerman was a member of the varsity eight this past season and won the Petite Final at the Patriot League Championship. She won a silver medal with the freshman four at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta and a silver medal with the novice four at the Knecht Cup.
