Men's Soccer Announces Captains
WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross head men’s soccer coach Marco Koolman has named seniors Yuji Callahan, Justin Carfora and Brad Ross as captains for the 2017 season. This will be the second year in a row that each will serve as a team captain.
Callahan is a two-time third team All-Patriot League selection (2014 & 2016). He scored the game-winning goal in the 1-0 shutout win against Duke on October 13, 2015. He was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as a sophomore. Callahan has totaled five goals, six assists and 16 points in his career so far as a Crusader.
Carfora has tallied five goals and six assists for 16 points so far in his career. He recorded two goals and five assists for nine points during his freshman year as he was named a third team All-Patriot League selection. He earned Patriot League Academic Honor Roll accolades as a freshman and a sophomore.
Ross has registered three goals and one assist for seven points so far as a defender. He has played in 50 games with 44 starts during his career and he started in all 18 games in each of the last two seasons. During his first season as a Crusader, Ross played in 14 games as he posted two goals.
Holy Cross will begin its season on the road at Hartford on Friday, August 25. The Crusaders will start September at home against CAA champions Delaware on Sunday, Sept. 3.
