Women's Lacrosse To Play At Lafayette

The Holy Cross women’s lacrosse team will travel to Easton, Pa. on Saturday, April 15 to face Patriot League opponent Lafayette at 4:00 p.m. Here is what you need to know as the Crusaders get ready to play the Leopards.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • The Crusaders will travel to Lafayette on Saturday, April 15 at 4:00 p.m.
  • The Crusaders are 6-7 overall this season and 1-4 in the Patriot League, while the Leopards are 9-4 overall and 4-1 in the Patriot League.
  • Lafayette leads the all-time series 16-11. Last year the Leopards defeated the Crusaders by a 13-5 score on April 15.
  • After Saturday’s game, Holy Cross will return home to face Boston University on Wednesday, April 19 at 7:05 p.m. as part of the Turnpike Trophy series.

JOHNSON ON THE ALL-TIME LISTS:

  • Senior Anna Johnson now has a team-best of 43 draw controls this season which are tied for sixth all-time in program history. Her 24 caused turnovers are also tied for eighth.
  • For her career she has 103 career ground balls, 73 draw controls and 41 caused turnovers.

CRUSADERS RANKED IN THE PATRIOT LEAGUE AND NATIONALLY:

  • Johnson is ranked third in the Patriot League and 34th in the nation with 1.85 caused turnovers per game. She is also seventh in the Patriot League in ground balls with 2.38 per game and 68th in the nation in draw controls with 3.31 per game.
  • Senior Maddy Smith places 86th nationally in caused turnovers with 1.46 per game.
  • Senior Mary Patalita is ranked fourth in the Patriot League and 52nd nationally with a .500 free-position goal percentage.
  • Junior Julia Maloney ranks fourth in the Patriot League and 39th nationally with 102 saves. She is also sixth in the Patriot League in ground balls with 2.46 per game.
