Tess MacKay Named C&R Tire Crusader Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Tess MacKay has been named the C&R Tire Crusader of the Week, for competition from March 6-12. MacKay led the Holy Cross women’s lacrosse team to a perfect 2-0 record in a pair of games last week.

During Tuesday’s 14-5 victory at Vermont, MacKay recorded a career-high seven goals and one assist. Then in Friday’s 11-10 win over Ohio State, she tallied three goals and an assist. With those two performance, MacKay now has four hat tricks on the season and eight in her collegiate career.

Overall this year, MacKay leads the team in scoring with 21 points on 19 goals and two assists. Over the course of her four years at Holy Cross, she has totaled 68 goals and 11 assists for 79 points in 60 games played.

The Crusaders (5-3 overall) return to action on Saturday, March 18, when they play host to Lehigh in their Patriot League opener at 11:05 a.m.
