Lisa Gagne & Meg O'Leary Earn Second Team All-PL Honors

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross senior defender Lisa Gagne (Groton, Mass.) and sophomore midfielder Meg O'Leary (Longmeadow, Mass.) have earned second team women's lacrosse All-Patriot League honors. This is the first year that they have earned All-League accolades.

Gagne led the team this season with a career-best 37 ground balls and was tied for the lead with a career-best 17 caused turnovers. During her career, she started 51 straight contests and played 57 total games. She was a major contributor to Holy Cross' 2007 Patriot League championship as she started all 19 contests. For her career she had one goal, 77 ground balls, 38 draw controls and 38 caused turnovers. Her 38 career caused turnovers are sixth all-time at the program. She is a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

O'Leary tied for the team-lead with a career-best 25 goals, while she was second with a career-best 14 assists and a career-best 39 points. She was also third on the team with 23 draw controls and was fourth with 10 caused turnovers. This season, O'Leary earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors as she scored three goals versus Yale on April 1, while she had two goals and six assists for eight points as the Crusaders earned an 11-10 double-overtime win over Lehigh, on April 4. Her six assists tied the school's single-game record. For her career, she has started all 32 games with 45 goals, 20 assists, 65 points, 47 ground balls, 46 draw controls and 23 caused turnovers. She was a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as a freshman.
