Men's Rowing To Open Season At Quinsigamond Snake Regatta
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men’s rowing team will open the season at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta on Oct. 14.
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- The Holy Cross men’s rowing team will start the 2017-18 season at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta on Oct. 14 in Worcester, Mass.
- The Crusaders will have one boat compete in the men’s novice four at 10:17 a.m.
- In the men’s varsity eight, Holy Cross will race three boats at 11:08 a.m. For the full schedule click here.
- In the 2016 race, the men’s varsity eight won the Snake Regatta for the seventh straight season. The Crusaders also broke the course record by 11 seconds.
BARR ON THE RACE:
"The team is young this year but with no shortage of talent. We can't wait to race on our home course, and start things off on the right foot. We look forward to welcoming friends, parents, and alumni and most of all honoring the man we have to thank for where we are today, Tom Sullivan!"
ALUMNI AND FRIEND BARBECUE AND BOAT DEDICATION IN HONOR OF THOMAS J. SULLIVAN ‘70:
At 11:45 a.m. and alumni race will kick off, followed by a boat dedication in honor of Thomas J. Sullivan ’70. At 1:00 p.m. the team will host a boat blessing and at 1:15 p.m. a barbecue for alumni, friends, parents, and current athletes.
The men’s rowing team will travel to Boston, Mass. For the Head of the Charles Regatta on Oct. 21-22.
