The Lead: The Holy Cross men’s cross country team finished 10th at the National Catholic Championship in Notre Dame, Ind., on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Senior captain G.Matthew Greco was the first Crusader to finish, taking the 54th-place spot with a time of 27:13. Behind Greco was freshman Bobby Tuzzio in the 55th spot, running a time of 27:18. Junior Bryan Gallagher finished 69th with a time of 28:06, followed by junior Bill Christ (73rd; 28:20) and sophomore Joseph Prunty (74th; 28:27). 
  • St. Louis won the team title with 52 points, while Ben Kendall of Detroit was the top individual finisher in a time of 25:06.

  • Holy Cross returns to action on the road tomorrow at UMass Dartmouth’s Shriner Invitational at 10:30 a.m.
