The Lead: The Holy Cross men’s cross country team finished 33rd out of 45 teams at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh on Saturday morning.

 HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Leading the way for the Crusaders were senior captains G.Matthew Greco (137th; 26:11) and Henry Dodge (152nd; 26:19). Dodge’s time was a career-best.
  • Finishing in the top five for Holy Cross was sophomore Joseph Prunty (162nd; 26:22), junior Bryan Gallagher (189th; 26:38) and freshman Alex Campagna (196th; 26:40). Campagna’s time of 26:40 is a personal record.
  • Princeton won the race with 68 points, while Bryce England of St. Francis took first place with a time of 24:38.

 UP NEXT:

  • Holy Cross returns to action on Oct. 8 when the Crusaders travel to Franklin Park in Boston, Mass., for the New England Championship.
