Holy Cross Athletics   09-07-2017

WORCESTER, Mass.   The men's and women's swimming & diving teams will be participating in Swim Across America for the sixth-consecutive year Saturday, Sept. 9.  The Crusaders will be swimming one mile in the Roger Wheeler Beach waters in Narragansett, R.I., to help raise money for cancer research and clinical trials. Proceeds from the benefit swim will go to gynecological and breast cancer research at Women and Infants Hospital Rhode Island. Swim Across America organizes 16 benefit swims across the country each year.

To date, Holy Cross has raised $13,900, and freshman Katherine O'Malley is ranked fourth out of all fundraisers with $2,425 collected. Holy Cross has raised more than $60,000 for the cause over the last six years.
