Men's Track & Field Heads To Patriot League Championship

Holy Cross Athletics   05-03-2018

EASTON, Pa. - The Holy Cross track & field team heads to Easton, Pa., where Lafayette will host the Patriot League Outdoor Championships. Both the men's and women's teams are coming off strong team performances at the Skyhawk Invitational on April 28.

Last year, the women's team took sixth place and the men's team finished seventh. The Crusaders are lead by a strong group of upperclassmen: senior distance runners Zoe Matherne and Stefanie McArdle lead the women and junior sprinter Brandon Thornhill and senior thrower Myles O'Brien are set to lead the men.

In addition, a dynamic group of underclassmen are ready to perform at their first Patriot League Outdoor Championship. Freshmen pole vaulter Christa Jay Moore and thrower Abbie Mokwuah have consistently contributed to the women's team, and freshmen Michay Pichay and Gabriel Piepergerdes have held their own with the men's team.
