Holy Cross Athletics   12-08-2016

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross Athletics and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Massachusetts / Metrowest are teaming up for a Holiday toy drive at select December home games at the Hart Center. Fans are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys intended for children from ages 7-12. Specifically desired gifts include art supplies, board games and sports equipment.

Fans will receive $2.00 off admission to the following events when they bring toys to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters:

Women’s Basketball vs. UMass Lowell (Dec. 10, 1:05 p.m.)
Men’s Ice Hockey vs. Army West Point (Dec. 10, 7:05 p.m.)
Men’s Basketball vs. Marist (Dec. 23, 12:05 p.m.)

“We are very thankful and excited to be working with Holy Cross Athletics for this initiative,” said Junior Belisea, match support specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Massachusetts. “These toys will go directly to the kids in our program who need them the most. Holy Cross continues to be a fantastic partner, and we are so appreciative of the generosity the community has shown.”

Toys can be dropped off at any of the three home games. For more details about the toy drive, contact Dan Mercurio at dmercuri@holycross.edu. For more information on Big Brothers Big Sisters, visit their website at www.bbbscm.org.
