Salatas Named NEWHA Defensive Player of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior goalie Tessie Salatas was named the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) Defensive Player of the Week for play from Nov. 13-18.

Salatas recorded 32 saves and her sixth career shutout in the 2-0 victory over the Harvard Crimson Saturday, Nov. 18. This was the first DI win for the Crusaders in program history. 

The NEWHA is comprised of six Division I/II independent women's hockey schools: Holy Cross, Post, St. Michael's. Saint Anselm, Franklin Pierce and Sacred Heart. The Crusaders will compete within the NEWHA for the 2017-18 season until the team transistions to Hockey East next year.
