Flaherty Named Patriot League Offensive Player Of The Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior wide receiver Brendan Flaherty has been named the Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, for his performance in Saturday’s 21-20 victory at Georgetown.
During the Georgetown game, Flaherty caught nine passes for a career-high 196 yards. His 196 receiving yards tied for the fifth-highest single-game total in Holy Cross history. Flaherty also had an 80-yard catch during the first quarter, good for the longest reception of his collegiate career.
On the season, Flaherty now ranks second on the team in receiving with 49 catches for 506 yards and four touchdowns. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he has totaled 187 receptions for 1,920 yards and 17 scores. Flaherty currently ranks third all-time in school history in career receptions, and seventh in career receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
