Holy Cross Athletics   09-18-2017

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross football team is ranked 25th in the nation this week in both the Stats FCS Poll and the FCS Coaches Poll. This marks the first time the Crusaders have been ranked since the 2010 season, when they checked in at No. 25 in both preseason polls.

Holy Cross received 310 total points in the Stats FCS Poll to earn the 25th spot, while totaling 49 points in the FCS Coaches Poll. Last week the Crusaders posted a 51-26 victory over New Hampshire, which fell from No. 9 to No. 15 in the Stats Poll and from No. 11 to No. 16 in the FCS Coaches Poll.

Holy Cross stands 2-1 overall this season with a 1-0 record in Patriot League play. In addition to last week’s win over New Hampshire, the Crusaders defeated Bucknell 20-0 on Sept. 9. Holy Cross’ only loss this year came to FBS foe Connecticut (27-20 on Aug. 31).

The Crusaders return to action this Saturday, Sept. 23, when they travel to Dartmouth for a 7:00 p.m. game.
