Women's Soccer Announces 2017 Schedule

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross director of athletics Nathan Pine and head women's soccer coach Casey Brown have announced the Crusaders' schedule for the 2017 season. The slate will feature a total of 17 regular season contests, including 10 games at Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium at the Luth Athletic Complex.

“We're very excited and motivated for our schedule this fall,” said Brown. “We are greatly looking forward to building on the momentum of this program's direction. We have a lot of challenging opponents that will help us learn a great deal about ourselves in preparation for the importance of Patriot League play.”

STARTING OUT AT HOME

The Crusaders will begin their 2017 season with four straight home games, beginning with their home opener on Friday, Aug. 18 against Quinnipiac. Holy Cross will continue action that weekend with another home contest against 2016 NCAA Tournament participant Northeastern on Aug. 20. They will then play host to Hartford on Aug. 24 and Maine on Aug. 31.

KICKING OFF SEPTEMBER ON THE ROAD

Holy Cross begins the month of September with three non-conference games on the road. They will first travel to Fordham on Sept. 3 before heading to Iona on Sept. 8. The Crusaders will also play Massachusetts on the road on Sept. 10.

OPENING PATRIOT LEAGUE PLAY

The Crusaders' Patriot League slate will begin at home with two contests against Navy on Sept. 15 and Lafayette on Sept. 23. Holy Cross will then travel to Turnpike Trophy rival Boston University on Sept. 27 before returning home to host defending Patriot League Champion Bucknell on Sept. 30.

HEADING INTO OCTOBER

The team will begin the month of October on the road at Loyola (Md.) Oct. 7 before returning home for its final non-conference game of the regular season against Dartmouth on Oct. 10. The Crusaders will travel to American on Oct. 14 before hosting a pair of conference foes in Colgate on Oct. 18, and Army West Point on Oct. 21. Holy Cross will then close out its regular season at Lehigh on Oct. 28.

THE PATRIOT LEAGUE TOURNAMENT

The Patriot League Tournament is slated to begin with the quarterfinal round on Oct. 31. The semifinal round will follow on Nov. 3 before the championship game, which is scheduled for Nov. 5.
