Hoagland Leads Holy Cross Past Sacred Heart

The Lead: The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team beat Sacred Heart 171-123. Sophomore Kayleigh Hoagland led the Crusaders with three first place finishes. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Hoagland placed first in the 100 back with a time of 1:00.83. She also placed first in the 100 free with a time of 54.33. In the 200 Medley Relay, Hoagland, along with junior Caroline Body and seniors Maura Mullaney and Katie Conners, finished first with a time of 1:52.33.
  • Body also finished first in the 100 breast with a finals time of 1:09.78.
  • Junior Casey Sherman led the Crusaders on the board with a first place finish in the 1m diving with a score of 235.12 and first in the 3m diving with a score of 247.95.
  • Freshman Emily Sullivan recorded a first place finish in the 200 back in 2:13.29
  • Sophomore Sarah Underhill finished first in the 200 breast in 2:34.26.

UP NEXT:

The Crusaders will travel to Kingston, R.I. on Friday, Nov. 17 to race in the Harold Anderson Invitational.
