Moore Leads Crusaders at Day One of Patriot League Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The women's track & field team competed in the first day of the Indoor track & field Patriot League Championships on Saturday, Feb. 17.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM COMPETITION:
Freshman Christa Jay Moore finished first and broke the Patriot League and Holy Cross school record in the pole vault with a score of 3.95.
Sophomore Jenna Gasparrini finished second in the 5k with a personal-best time of 17:01.97.
- Sophomore Allie Smiley finished fourth in the long jump with a 5.74m jump. Junior Alexandra Curtin placed fifth in the long jump (5.72m). Senior Alanna Hitscherich placed sixth in the long jump (5.71m). All three long jumpers qualified for ECACs.
Sophomore Morgan Sanders finished in sixth place in the pentathlon with a final score of 3195. She saw a personal best in the shot put (7.81m) and in the high jump (1.57m).
Alanna Hitscherich qualified for the finals of the 60m hurdles with her eighth place finish in the preliminary round (9.06).
