Patriot League Menís Tennis Preseason Poll Announced
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's tennis team was selected to finish ninth in the 2017 Patriot League preseason poll, as voted on by the head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Last season’s Patriot League Champion, Army West Point, was selected to finish first overall with 128 points and 16 first-place votes.
2016 Patriot League Tournament champion Army West Point was picked first in the preseason poll with 128 points in the voting process, including 16 first-place votes. Navy was picked second with 114 points and a pair of first-place votes, while Boston University was selected third with 97 points. Also picked in the top five were Lehigh in fourth with 81 points, and Colgate in fifth with 72 points.
Bucknell (6th; 66 points), Loyola Maryland (7th, 42 points), Lafayette (8th, 32 points) and Holy Cross (9th, 16 points), rounded out the final four spots of the preseason poll.
The 2017 Holy Cross spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
