Patriot League Women’s Tennis Preseason Poll Announced
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's tennis team was selected to finish ninth in the 2017 Patriot League preseason poll, as voted on by the head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Last season's Patriot League Tournament champion Boston University was picked to repeat, as it garnered 124 points and 14 first-place votes.
Navy was selected to finish second overall with 111 points in the voting process, including four first-place votes, while Army West Point was selected third with 107 points. Also picked in the top five were Lehigh in fourth with 84 points, and Bucknell in fifth with 68 points.
Loyola Maryland (6th, 57 points); Colgate (7th, 51 points); Lafayette (8th, 28 points) and Holy Cross (9th, 18 points) rounded out the final four spots in the preseason poll.
The 2017 Holy Cross spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
