 HOW IT HAPPENED

Ahead 16-9, senior defensive specialist Emily Popp served through six consecutive points, as Sifferlen picked up three kills during this run to help the Crusaders to a 20-10 advantage. The Bison would score just two more times, as Holy Cross won set one, 25-12.

The Bison got within three, but with Holy Cross ahead 12-9, the Crusaders used a 4-2 run to stretch out to a 16-11 advantage with Popp serving through three of those points, recording a service ace during that span. Leading by five with a 20-15 mark, the Crusaders would let Bucknell get no closer than four points, as Sifferlen connected with Webb on the last point to take the second set, 25-18.
