Mandy Sifferlen Named C&R Tire Crusader Of The Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior outside hitter Mandy Sifferlen has been named the C&R Tire Crusader of the Week, for competition from Nov. 7-13. Sifferlen led the Holy Cross volleyball team to victories over Bucknell and Lehigh last week, in its final two matches of the season.
During Friday’s 3-0 win over Bucknell, Sifferlen totaled 25 kills, five digs and two block assists. Then in Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Lehigh, she recorded 24 kills, 13 digs and two service aces. Over the course of the two matches, Sifferlen averaged 8.16 kills per set with a .381 hitting percentage.
On the year, Sifferlen totaled a school single-season record 497 kills, 305 digs, 40 total blocks and 20 service aces. Over the course of her collegiate career, she recorded 1,334 kills, 866 digs, 144 total blocks and 92 service aces. Sifferlen finished her four-years at Holy Cross ranked second all-time in school history in career kills.
The 2016 season is now complete for the Crusaders.
