Anthony Critelli Named C&R Tire Crusader Of The Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior first baseman Anthony Critelli has been named the C&R Tire Crusader of the Week, for competition from March 13-19. Critelli helped the Holy Cross baseball team to a split in a doubleheader against Wagner on Saturday.
During the first game with the Seahawks, Critelli hit a two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Crusaders a 3-2 victory. Then in the second contest, he was three-for-five with a run batted in as Holy Cross fell 6-2. Over the course of the two games, Critelli went four-for-10 with three runs batted in.
Overall this year, Critelli is batting .350 with three doubles, three runs scored and six runs batted in. Over the course of his collegiate career, he owns a .293 batting average with 76 runs scored, 43 doubles, 17 home runs and 106 runs batted in.
The Crusaders (3-11 overall) return to action on Tuesday, March 21, when they face Massachusetts in a 6:45 p.m. game at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborough, Mass.
