Holy Cross and Bucknell Team Up to “Strike Out ALS”

Holy Cross Athletics   04-25-2017

As part of ALS Awareness Day this past Sunday, the Holy Cross and Bucknell baseball teams banded together to support the Pete Frates Foundation to “Strike Out ALS.”  Members of each program donned “Strike Out ALS” wristbands in an effort to bring further awareness to the fight against amyotrophic laterals sclerosis (ALS).  Former Boston College baseball captain Pete Frates ,creator of the viral ice-bucket challenge, is currently fighting ALS.  In an effort to support Pete and others that suffer from this illness, college baseball programs throughout New England have dedicated their time to raising money and awareness in a continuing effort to aid research and fight the disease.  For more information on how you can contribute to this cause, visit www.petefrates.com.
