Cam O'Neill Named Patriot League Player Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Cam O'Neill has been named the Corvias Patriot League Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. This is the fourth Patriot League weekly honor for O’Neill, and the first Player of the Week selection in his career.

O’Neill played a big role in the Crusaders’ offense over the past week, helping lead the team to three wins in four games against Bucknell to clinch a berth in the Patriot League Tournament for the third-straight year. In five games last week he batted .500 (7-for-14) while posting a 1.143 slugging percentage and a .588 on-base percentage. He tallied seven runs batted in with six runs scored while hitting three home runs on the week.

On the season, O’Neill leads the Crusaders with 31 runs batted in and eight home runs while ranking second with a .427 slugging percentage. In his career, O’Neill has notched 82 RBIs with 66 runs scored while batting .279.

The Crusaders will return to action this Saturday, April 29, as they begin their final Patriot League series of the regular season at Lafayette beginning at 12:05 p.m.
