Men's Basketball Picked Eighth In Patriot League Preseason Poll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Holy Cross men’s basketball team has been picked to finish in eighth place in the 2017-2018 Patriot League preseason poll of head coaches and sports information directors. The Crusaders received 48 total points in the conference preseason poll.
Bucknell placed first in the poll, with 162 total points and 18 first-place votes, followed by Boston University in second with 141 points and two first-place votes, and Navy in third with 120 points. Lehigh placed fourth with 108 points, while Colgate was fifth (104 points), Loyola (Md.) was sixth (78 points) and Army West Point was seventh (66 points). The preseason rankings were rounded out by American (ninth, 39 points) and Lafayette (10th, 27 points).
Holy Cross is scheduled to open the 2017-2018 regular season on Friday, November 10, when it travels to Sacred Heart for a 6:00 p.m. game.
