The Holy Cross men’s basketball team will travel to Fairleigh Dickinson this week for a 2:00 p.m. game on Wednesday, Nov. 22. The contest between the Crusaders and the Knights can be seen online through NEC Front Row, and will also air live on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

Holy Cross is off to a 2-1 start this season, posting victories over Sacred Heart (69-64) and Harvard (73-69) while falling to Rhode Island (88-66). Junior guard Patrick Benzan has led the team by averaging 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Junior forward Karl Charles has added 12.5 points, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals per contest, while freshman guard Caleb Green is chipping in with 12.7 points, 4.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game.

The Crusaders are now in their third year under head coach Bill Carmody, and are coming off a 2016-2017 season in which they went 15-17 overall and placed fifth in the Patriot League with a 9-9 mark in conference games.

Fairleigh Dickinson stands 2-2 so far this season, defeating Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham (111-49) and Kean (94-55) while falling to Seton Hall (90-68) and Penn State (81-57). Junior forward Mike Holloway has led the team by averaging 16.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. Junior guard Darnell Edge (12.5 points per game), senior guard Darian Anderson (11.0 points per game) and freshman guard Jahlil Jenkins (10.0 points per game) are also scoring in double digits.

The Knights are coming off a 2016-2017 campaign in which they went 11-19 overall and tied for fifth place in the Northeast Conference with a 9-9 mark in league games. Fairleigh Dickinson is led by head coach Greg Herenda, who was an assistant coach at Holy Cross from 1989-1994.

After the contest at Fairleigh Dickinson, Holy Cross will return home to face Albany at 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25.
