The Holy Cross men’s basketball team will play just its third home game of the season when it faces New Hampshire at 3:05 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9. The contest between the Crusaders and the Wildcats will be shown by the Patriot League Network, and will also air live on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

Holy Cross currently own an overall record of 2-6 on the season. The Crusaders have lost their last six games, and are coming off a 64-50 setback at Massachusetts on Wednesday night.

Freshman guard Caleb Green has led the team by averaging 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game, while hitting 37.5 percent of his three-point field goal attempts. Junior forward Karl Charles is also off to a strong start this year, with averages of 11.1 points, 3.1 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest. Junior forward Jehyve Floyd has added 10.9 points, 4.9 boards and 0.9 blocks per game, while junior guard Patrick Benzan is chipping in with 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals per contest.

New Hampshire enters the game with a 2-7 record on the year. The Wildcats have lost seven of their last eight games, including a 78-70 setback against Niagara on Tuesday night..

Senior forward Tanner Leissner has led the team by averaging 19.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game so far this season, while making 78.1 percent of his free throws. Senior forward Iba Camara has also been playing well, with averages of 11.4 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.

After the contest with New Hampshire, the Crusaders will take a 10-day break for final exams before returning to action against Iona on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
