The Holy Cross men’s basketball team will be back in action this Friday, Dec. 22, when it heads to Siena for a 7:00 p.m. game. The contest between the Crusaders and the Saints will be televised live by My4 Albany and ESPN3, and can be heard live on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

Holy Cross currently owns an overall record of 3-7 on the season. The Crusaders have lost seven of their last eight games, and are coming off an 82-68 setback against Iona on Tuesday night.

Freshman guard Caleb Green has led the team by averaging 11.3 points, 2.7 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game, while hitting 40.0 percent of his three-point field goal attempts. Junior forward Karl Charles is also off to a strong start this year, with averages of 10.7 points, 3.3 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals per contest. Junior forward Jehyve Floyd has added 10.5 points, 5.8 boards and 0.8 blocks per game, while junior guard Patrick Benzan is chipping in with 8.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals per contest.

Siena has an overall record of 3-9 on the season. The Saints have lost four of their last five games, and were defeated by Memphis 70-66 on Wednesday night.

Junior guard Nico Clareth has led the team by averaging 15.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, while hitting 85.1 percent of his free throws. Sophomore guard Ahsante Shivers is also off to a strong start this year, with averages of 10.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals per contest.

After the game at Siena, the Crusaders will take a week off for Christmas before returning to action against Colgate on Friday, Dec. 29.
