  • Thomas-Waheed led Holy Cross with 11 points and registered a pair of assists.
  • Freshman forward Lauren Manis registered seven points and led Holy Cross with 10 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Holy Cross started out strong in the first quarter, jumping out to an 8-4 lead in the opening five minutes.
  • The Crusaders led the Sun Devils 11-8 at the end of the first quarter.
  • Arizona State gained control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring Holy Cross 19-4 to take a 27-15 lead into the locker room at halftime.
  • Holy Cross responded with 12 points in the third quarter, led by Thomas-Waheed and Manis who each registered five points in the quarter.
  • The Sun Devils notched 16 points in the fourth quarter while holding the Crusaders to six, sealing the 63-33 final.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Thomas-Waheed has scored in double figures nine times this season, and has led the Crusaders in scoring eight times.
  • Manis notched double-digit rebounds for the fifth time this season, having led Holy Cross in boards six times.
  • This was the first meeting between the Sun Devils and the Crusaders in Tempe, Ariz.
