  • The Lead: Freshman forward Lauren Manis led the Crusaders with 22 points, as Holy Cross earned its second-straight Patriot League victory with a 65-47 win over Lehigh on Saturday afternoon in Worcester.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Manis led Holy Cross with 22 points while shooting 8-for-12 and registering seven rebounds.
  • Junior guard Infiniti Thomas-Waheed earned a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds while tying for the team-lead with three blocks.
  • Junior guard Tricia Byrne also scored in double figures, adding 11 points with four assists and five rebounds.
  • Hailey Pascoe led Lehigh with 16 points and added four rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Holy Cross started strong straight from tip-off, jumping out to a 9-0 lead before Lehigh called its first timeout.
  • The Crusaders led by as many as 13 points while outscoring the Mountain Hawks 24-15 in the first quarter.
  • Lehigh cut the deficit to nine points early on in the second, but Holy Cross would regain control and pull ahead 39-25 before heading to the locker room at halftime.
  • Lehigh had its best quarter in the third, outscoring Holy Cross 10-6 to make it 45-35 as they headed into the fourth.
  • After scoring the first five points of the fourth quarter, the Crusaders would not let Lehigh any closer than 10 points for the remainder of the game.
  • The Crusaders outscored Lehigh 6-0 in the final three minutes of play to close out the game with their largest lead of the day at 65-47.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Holy Cross is now 42-22 all-time against the Mountain Hawks, and 22-10 in games played in Worcester.
  • Thomas-Waheed registered her second double-double of the season, and the third of her career.
  • Manis tied her career-high in scoring at 22 points, which she also accomplished against UMass Lowell on Dec. 10.
  • Junior guard Katie Doherty tied her career-high in assists with six.

  • Holy Cross will return to action this Wednesday, Jan. 18, as the Crusaders play host to defending Patriot League Champion Army West Point at 7:05 p.m.
