  • The Lead: Freshman forward Lauren Manis notched a double-double, as the Crusaders fell to Army West Point by a score of 67-59 on Wednesday night at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Manis earned a double-double with 15 points and a team-high 12 rebounds.
  • Junior guard Infiniti Thomas-Waheed led Holy Cross with 19 points.
  • Jess Lewis led Army West Point with 22 points, shooting 6-for-10 from behind the arc.
  • Aliyah Murray posted a double-double for the Black Knights with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Army jumped out to a 14-7 lead in the opening five minutes of the game.
  • The Crusaders added 11 more points before the end of the quarter, but were outscored 25-18 in the first.
  • Holy Cross began the second quarter with a 15-5 run to make it 33-30 in their favor.
  • Both teams went into the locker room at halftime tied at 35.
  • The Crusaders and Black Knights were neck-and-neck throughout the third quarter, as Army took a 48-46 lead into the fourth.
  • Holy Cross came within four points late in the quarter, but the Black Knights outscored the Crusaders 19-13 in the fourth to seal the final score.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Manis earned her sixth double-double of the season. She has now posted double-digit rebounds seven times, and has scored in double-digits 15 times.
  • Thomas-Waheed led Holy Cross in scoring for the 11th time this season, and the 22nd of her career. She has scored in double-figures 13 times this season, and 37 times in her career.
