WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women’s basketball team is set to continue Patriot League action Saturday, as the Crusaders head to Easton, Pa. to face Lafayette. Saturday’s game will be broadcast online via the Patriot League Network on PatriotLeague.TV. In addition, the game will be broadcast on Emmauel Radio (1230 AM | 1230radio.com) with Bob Fouracre on play-by-play.

SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
• Holy Cross most recently fell to American 68-63 in overtime on Wednesday in Worcester.
• Sophomore Lauren Manis leads the Patriot League with 18.1points per game and ranks fifth in rebounds per game with 8.4. She surpassed 700 career points in the Crusaders’ win at Boston University.
• Senior Infiniti Thomas-Waheed ranks second in the Patriot League in scoring with 16.7 points per game. She notched her 1,000th career point in the win over Vermont with a jump shot in the third quarter, becoming the 33rd player in program history to reach the milestone.
• Head Coach Bill Gibbons is closing in on his 600th career victory, having earned 598 to date.

SERIES QUICK HITS
• The Crusaders are 56-11 all-time against Lafayette.
• In the last meeting between the two programs, the Leopards defeated Holy Cross 69-65 on Jan. 2 earlier this season.
• The first meeting between these teams took place on Dec. 6, 1986, with Holy Cross earning a 73-67 win in Kingston, R.I.
• In games played in Easton, the Crusaders hold the series edge 24-4.

LAST TIME OUT
• Sophomore Lauren Manis led the Holy Cross women’s basketball team with 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, but the Crusaders came up short to American, 68-63 in overtime.
• Manis earned her sixth double-double of the season for Holy Cross (9-11, 4-5), posting 18 points and 11 rebounds while adding two blocks. 
• Senior Infiniti Thomas-Waheed posted her third double-double of the year with 15 points and a team-leading 12 rebounds. 
• Senior Tricia Byrne scored in double figures for the Crusaders, posting 14 points while shooting 5-for-7 from the field. 
• American (16-4, 9-0) was led by Emily Kinneston, who scored 18 points while shooting 6-for-12. 
• Cecliy Carl also had a strong night for the Eagles, posting 17 points and 13 rebounds.
• Holy Cross shot 39.1% (25-64) on the night, while American posted 36.9% (24-65) shooting. 
• From three-point range, the Crusaders hit 31.8% (7-22) while holding the Eagles to 24.0% (6-25). 
• American shot 73.7% (14-19) of its free throws, while Holy Cross hit 54.5% (6-11) of its attempts from the charity stripe.

SCOUTING REPORT ON LAFAYETTE
• Lafayette is currently 8-11 on the season with a 4-5 record in the Patriot League. They most recently defeated Boston University 47-45 on Wednesday night in Boston.
• The Leopards were 4-28 on the year in 2016-2017, and posted a 2-16 record in the Patriot League. They defeated Holy Cross 58-54 in the first round of the Patriot League tournament before falling to Navy 57-53 in the quarterfinals.
• Natalie Kucowski leads the team’s offense with an average of 11.5 points per game while shooting 40.1%.
• Kucowski is also the leading rebounder for Lafayette, averaging 10.8 boards per contest.
• Head coach Kia Damon is in her first season with the Leopards.

• Following the bye week in the Patriot League, Holy Cross will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 3 as the Crusaders host Loyola (Md.) at 1:05 p.m.
