Manis Named Patriot League Player of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross sophomore Lauren Manis has been named the Patriot League Player of the Week, for competition from Jan. 22-28. This is the second Patriot League weekly honor for Manis this season.

In the overtime loss to American, Manis tallied her sixth double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds. She also had a big impact in the Crusaders’ victory at Lafayette on Saturday, tallying 27 points with nine rebounds and four blocks. Manis leads the Patriot League in scoring with an average of 18.5 points per game, and ranks fifth in rebounding with 8.4 boards per game. In her career, Manis has tallied 788 points (15.5 per game) and totaled 402 rebounds (7.9 per game).

Holy Cross (10-11, 5-5 Patriot League) returns to action this Saturday, Feb. 3, as the Crusaders play host to Loyola (Md.) at 1:05 p.m.
