Caswell Promoted To Associate Head Athletic Trainer
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross athletic trainer Alicia Caswell has been promoted to the position of associate head athletic trainer, it was announced by director of athletics Nathan Pine. Caswell is currently in her fourth year as an athletic trainer at Holy Cross.
In her time at Holy Cross, Caswell has assisted with the treatment of all 27 Crusader varsity programs. Currently, she works on a day-to-day basis treating student-athletes of the women’s basketball, women’s soccer and men’s and women’s tennis teams. Caswell also serves as the policy and procedures coordinator, having finalized the department’s official concussion policy and helping to integrate the web-based concussion education module. She is also a preceptor for the Springfield College athletic training program, in which students in the athletic training program work with Holy Cross teams during the season.
Prior to her time at Holy Cross, Caswell served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Massachusetts, working mainly with the field hockey and baseball programs. She was also a part of the athletic training education program at Ithaca College, and worked as an intern for the Elmira Pioneers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.
Caswell received her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Ithaca in 2011, and her master’s degree in kinesiology from Massachusetts in 2013. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association.
