Holy Cross Holds Senior Send-Off Dinner
On Thursday, May 11, the department of athletics held its Senior Send-Off Dinner in the Hogan Campus Center Ballroom. This event provided one last opportunity for the graduating senior student-athletes to gather together and be thanked and celebrated by members of the athletic and campus community.
Following dinner, Director of Athletics Nathan Pine addressed the senior class, recognizing them for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to Holy Cross. Pine encouraged the seniors to take what they learned as student-athletes and use it to prosper in their future careers. “Dream big, think positively and proceed with confidence and determination,” said Pine. “Those are the things that made you successful as student-athletes, and those are the things that are going to make you successful in life.”
Pine also provided the members of the senior class with decals of the Holy Cross logo to wear on their mortarboards during commencement. With approximately 25 percent of the student body participating in varsity athletics, these decals will help show everyone in attendance at the DCU Center just how many student-athletes there are on campus.
