Dawkins Promoted To Associate AD For Student-Athlete Development
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross Director of Athletics Nathan Pine has announced the promotion of Armani Dawkins to Associate Director of Athletics for Student-Athlete Development, effective immediately.
Dawkins, who joined the Crusaders in January 2016, is a member of the athletics senior staff and will add sport supervision duties to her scope of responsibilities.
“Armani has done an outstanding job advancing our student-athlete development, and I am excited for her to take this next step in her career with the addition of sport supervision,” said Pine.
Over the past two years, Dawkins has created and executed robust and influential programming centered around the development and welfare of Holy Cross’ nearly 700 student-athletes, initiating partnerships with such programs as the Victory Academy and furthering collaboration with the College’s Center for Career Development.
Under her guidance, the Holy Cross Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has made huge strides in advancing its five pillars – leadership, academic excellence, career development, community engagement, and mental health and wellness – and has seen its ranks grow with the creation of such groups as WE LEAD (Women’s Empowerment through Leadership Education and Development) and MOCA (Men of Color Athletes).
“I am both excited and humbled by the opportunity to step into the Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development role here at the College,” said Dawkins. “This is truly an outstanding recognition of our commitment to providing the best possible student-athlete experience. I look forward to continuing to serve our student-athletes, coaches, and campus community.”
