Men's Lacrosse To Host Harvard & Lehigh

The Holy Cross men’s lacrosse team will host Harvard and Lehigh this week. Here is what you need to know as the Crusaders enter the third week of the season.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Holy Cross will take on Harvard at 4:05 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Kuzniewski Field at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crimson began their season with a 14-9 win at UMass Lowell on Feb. 18. The game will be streamed on the Patriot League Network.
  • Last year, Harvard defeated the Crusaders by an 11-10 score in double overtime. Go here to read the recap. Harvard leads the all-time series, 32-0. Last season, the Crimson went 8-8 overall and 3-3 in the Ivy League. Harvard fell to Yale, 14-9, in the Ivy League Tournament championship game.  
  • The Crusaders will then open Patriot League action when they host Lehigh on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 12:05 p.m. The Mountain Hawks are 2-1 so far this season with a 15-5 win over NJIT, a 13-12 victory at Jacksonville and a 15-8 loss at No. 2 North Carolina. The game will be streamed on the Patriot League Network.
  • Last year, the Mountain Hawks defeated the Crusaders by a 12-11 score. Go here to read the recap. Lehigh leads the all-time series, 26-0. Last season, the Mountain Hawks fell to Army West Point in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League Tournament.
  • After the Lehigh game, the Crusaders return to action when they play at Loyola Maryland on Saturday, March 4 at 12:05 p.m.

  • The Team Shop will be open in the Luth Athletic Complex on Saturday, Feb. 25 starting at 9:00 a.m.! So be sure to check out all of your favorite Crusader gear!  

BUERMANN POSTS HAT TRICK VERSUS VERMONT:

  • Senior Marc Buermann recorded a hat trick at Vermont. It was his first of the season and the fourth of his career.
  • He leads the team with four goals. For his career, he has 53 goals and 20 assists for 73 points. He earned 2016 second team All-Patriot League accolades.
