Henry Lilly Earns Academic All-Patriot League Honors
WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross junior Henry Lilly was named to the 2017 Academic All-Patriot League Men's Lacrosse team, as selected by the conference's media relations directors. He is one of just 12 men's lacrosse student-athletes from around the league to earn this honor. This is the first time in his career that he has been selected to the Academic All-Patriot League team.
In order to be eligible for the the award, a student-athlete must have an overall grade-point average of at least 3.20 and be a key starter or key player in his sport.
Lilly is a political science major with a 3.34 grade-point average. Playing in all 13 games this season, he leads the team with 20 caused turnovers. He is tied for seventh in the Patriot League and ranks 27th nationally with 1.43 caused turnovers per game.
Lilly has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for all three of his seasons with the Crusaders. He also is a member of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program.
The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team returns to action on Friday, April 28, when they face Loyola Maryland in the Patriot League Tournament semifinals at 4:30 p.m. in Baltimore, Md. The game will be shown live nationally on the CBS Sports Network with Dave Ryan and Evan Washburn on the call.
