WORCESTER, Mass. - The College of the Holy Cross has named Tim Collins and Jim Wrobel athletic department interns for the 2005-2006 school year, it was announced by athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. Wrobel will work for the athletic media relations office, while Collins will split his time between athletic media relations and compliance.
Collins will serve as the media relations contact for the Crusaders' women's ice hockey, cross country, track & field, swimming & diving, rowing and tennis teams, in addition to his duties in the compliance office. He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where he earned a bachelor's degree in sport management. Collins spent two years as a walk-on member of the UMass men's basketball team, in addition to serving as a team manager for one year. He also spent one year as a statistician for the UMass Football Radio Network in the fall of 2004.
Wrobel will serve as the media relations contact for Holy Cross' men's ice hockey, women's soccer, volleyball, men's lacrosse, softball and golf teams. He previously spent one year as an athletic media relations intern at the University of Massachusetts, where he worked with the men's soccer, baseball, women's rowing, swimming & diving and water polo teams. Wrobel also spent four years as a student assistant in the media relations office at UMass, working with the water polo teams while assisting with several other sports. He is a 2000 graduate of UMass with a bachelor's degree in sport management.
