WORCESTER, Mass. - The College of the Holy Cross has named Tina Borrelli its new head cheerleading coach, it was announced by athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. Borrelli comes to the Crusaders from Holy Name Catholic Central Junior Senior High School in Worcester, where she has served as the junior varsity cheerleading coach and assistant varsity cheerleading coach since 1989.
During her time at Holy Name, Borrelli was also the director of the school's annual summer cheerleading camp, and the assistant director of the annual Holy Name Cheerleading Tournament. In addition, she has been the co-owner of the LTL School of Dance and Cheer in Millbury, Mass., since 2006.
Borrelli's teams have been honored by the American Youth Cheerleading Association as state champions in 2005 and 2006, and national first runners-up in 2006.
