The Crusader Athletics Fund, which started in 2006-2007, has been an important resource to enhance the student-athlete experience at Holy Cross. The fund has raised more than $5 million in total. Athletics is such a huge part of the campus community as 25 percent of the student-body plays a varsity sport. It is important to provide our student-athletes with the tools they need to be successful. Increased resources are critical in order to remain competitive in the Patriot League.
The Crusader Athletics Fund is wrapping up this fiscal year’s annual fundraising. Our goal is to raise $1 million dollars from 2,500 donors to support our sports. Last year, the fund raised a record of $987,000.
“Your investment in our student-athletes and in Holy Cross Athletics is critically important to our success,” said director of athletics Nathan Pine. “Your generous donations go directly toward enhancing the experience of our more than 750 student-athletes participating on 27 teams by providing additional equipment, increased recruiting opportunities and technology enhancements. I would encourage everyone to consider making a donation to the Crusader Athletics Fund and join Sader Nation today.”
If you would like to contribute and be counted as a donor this year, you have until Monday, June 30 to do so. Donors may contribute to any sport of their choice or to the Athletics All-Sports Fund. Thank you to everyone who has supported the program so far. Your support makes a difference to each of our 27 varsity sports.
