WORCESTER, Mass. – While Crusader winter athletics are in full swing, the Holy Cross women’s ice hockey team returned to action coming off a five-week break and didn’t lose a beat, beating Salve Regina 6-2 on Saturday afternoon. The team was led by freshman Rebecca Fleming (Newton, Mass.) who netted a hat trick and two assists that led to a five point game for Fleming. Women’s ice hockey returns to action on Friday, Jan. 20 when it travels to meet ECAC East opponent Castleton State at 7:00 p.m. and at New England College on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 1:00 p.m. The women’s track and field team competed at the Rhode Island Sorlien Memorial Invitational on Friday, Jan. 13 and Yale Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 14, while the men’s track and field team competed at the Rhode Island Sorlien Memorial Invitational and Yale Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 14. Both teams will return to action when they travel to Durham, N.H. on Saturday, Jan. 21 to compete at New Hampshire with Stonehill. The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams return to competition when they host the Worcester City Championship on Friday, Jan. 20 and Saturday, Jan. 21.
