WORCESTER, Mass. - It's a busy week for Holy Cross spring athletic teams as they will participate in 22 events this week. The baseball and softball teams will both be in action this afternoon, Tuesday, March 27. Baseball will travel to UMass Amherst and softball will host Rhode Island at Freshman Field. Both games are set to begin at 3:00 p.m. After hosting Harvard on Wednesday, March 28, at 5:00 p.m., baseball will then open up Patriot League action with doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday, March 31 and April 1, beginning at 12:00 p.m. both days. Softball will also begin the Patriot League season on the road this weekend with a four-game series against Army in West Point, N.Y. beginning at 1:00 p.m. both days. The women's tennis team returns to action on Wednesday hosting Curry for a 3:30 p.m. match. The team returns to the court on Friday, March 30, when Endicott comes to Worcester for a 3:30 p.m. contest. Saturday features a full day of Crusader sports teams in action. Women's golf will take part in the Hawk Invitational beginning at 9:00 a.m. The men's and women's track and field teams will travel to West Point, N.Y. for a 12:00 p.m. meet. Women's rowing will take on Simmons and Smith at 12:00 p.m. Women's lacrosse will be at Navy at 12:00 p.m. and men's lacrosse will host Bucknell at 1:00 p.m. Men's rowing closes out the day's action against Columbia, Dartmouth and MIT in Pelham, N.Y. at 5:00 p.m. Women's golf will tee-off on day two of the Hawk Invitational on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and women's rowing will compete against Bates, Rochester, Trinity, Wellesley and WPI at 10:00 a.m. to complete a busy week in Crusader athletics.
