WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross athletic teams will participate in 28 events this week as the spring season is in full swing. Women’s golf got things started today, April 16, at 8:00 a.m. at the Hartford Invitational at 8:00 a.m. and the men’s golf team was also in action at the Assumption Shootout beginning at 10:00 a.m. The women’s team will then tee off in the Patriot League Championship on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21. The men’s and women’s track and field team will host a decathlon and heptathlon, respectively, on Wednesday and Thursday, April 17-18. The teams will then host Bryant, Central Connecticut Hartford, Maine, Massachusetts and Stonehill on Saturday. The softball team will return to action with a doubleheader against Central Connecticut on Wednesday and travel to Lehigh on Saturday and Sunday for four games. The baseball team will host Brown for a pair of games at Fitton Field on Wednesday and welcome Lehigh to Worcester for a four-game series on Saturday and Sunday. Women’s lacrosse will play Central Connecticut on Wednesday and host Lehigh on Friday, April 19, at 5:00 p.m. while the men’s lacrosse team will host Army on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Both of those games can be watched on Crusader Vision. Men’s tennis will participate in the Patriot League Tournament in Hamilton, N.Y. on Friday, playing Lehigh at 2:00 p.m. Men’s rowing will match up against Georgetown in Princeton, N.J. on Saturday and face Rutgers on Sunday.
