WORCESTER, Mass. – Eight Crusader athletic teams will continue their in season competition this week both on and off the hill. The field hockey team will host two home contests at the Hart Turf Field. Their first home competition, which will be available to watch on Crusader Vision, is against Providence College on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 7:00 p.m. Their second game will be on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1:00 p.m. against No. 23-nationally ranked Maine. The women’s volleyball team will also kick off its week on Sept. 11, when it hosts Hartford at 7:00 p.m. This match can also be viewed on Crusader Vision. The Crusaders will then travel to Smithfield, R.I. for the Bryant Invitational on Sept. 14 and 15. Women’s tennis will kick off its season on Sept. 12 against Assumption at 3:30 p.m. at the Holy Cross Tennis Courts. Competition continues on Sept. 15 when they attend the Salve Regina Doubles Invitational. The men’s soccer team will begin its week by making a trip to Providence on Sept. 12 for a game at 3:00 p.m. The Crusaders will also host a game Saturday night (Sept. 15) at 7:00 p.m. against Rhode Island. The women’s soccer team will also start off its week on the road at Hartford for a game at 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 13. Their second and final game of the week will be at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium at 1:00 p.m. on Sept. 16 when they take on Delaware State. Select members of the men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete at the National Catholic Championship on Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m. The teams hit the road again on Sept. 15 for the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at 10:30 a.m. The women’s golf team will compete at the Dartmouth Invitational on both Sept. 15 and Sept. 16.
