WORCESTER, Mass. – Sixteen contests will be played this week as the Holy Cross athletic teams continue their fall season. Field hockey will play three contests this week as it starts off hosting Brown on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 6:00 p.m. on the Hart Turf Field. That game will be broadcasted on Crusader Vision. The Crusaders will also take a road trip this weekend and play on Saturday, Oct. 28 and Sunday, Oct. 29. On Saturday, they will take on Colgate at 1:00 p.m., with the winner of that game advancing to the Patriot League Tournament. On Sunday, they will wrap up their regular season as they face off against Cornell at 2:00 p.m. Volleyball will host a pair of matches this week. On Wednesday, Oct. 24 it will take on Bryant at 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 27, the Crusaders will play Army at 4:00 p.m. on Senior Day. Both games will be played at the Holy Cross Field House and can be seen on Crusader Vision. The women’s swimming and diving team will compete in two matches this week, with its first on Wednesday, Oct. 24 as it travels to Siena for a 7:00 p.m. start. On Saturday, Oct. 27, both the women’s and men’s swimming and diving teams will travel to Springfield, with competitions beginning at 1:00 p.m. The men’s soccer team will play two home matches this week at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium. On Wednesday, Oct. 24 it will take on non-conference opponent Bryant at 7:30 p.m. The Crusaders will also entertain Navy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 on Senior Day. The men’s and women’s cross country teams will be competing in the Patriot League Championship on Saturday, Oct. 27, with races beginning at 11:00 a.m. The women’s rowing team will race in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8:00 a.m. Women’s soccer will play in its final contest of the season on Saturday, Oct. 27 as it makes the trip to Lehigh for a 2:00 p.m. game. On Sunday, Oct. 28, men’s rowing will compete in the Princeton Chase Regatta at 10 a.m. Rounding out this week’s events will be the men’s golf team, who will be competing in the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship on Sunday, Oct. 28 and Monday, Oct. 29.
