Crusader Notes For April 1

WORCESTER, Mass. – The baseball team begins action this week with a 5:00 p.m. home game against Hartford on Tuesday, April 1, followed by another home game against Marist on Wednesday, April 2, also at 5:00 p.m. This weekend, baseball will have a doubleheader at Navy on Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6. Games will be at 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on both days. The women’s lacrosse team will play two away games this week, beginning with a trip to Boston College on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. and a match at Bucknell on Friday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m. Men’s lacrosse plays Lafayette on Saturday at home at 1:00 p.m.  Softball travels to Central Connecticut on Wednesday with a game at 4:00 p.m. and will return home for a doubleheader against Siena on Thursday, April 3 at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. They will then finish their week with a doubleheader at UMass-Lowell on Sunday, April 6, with games at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. 

Men’s tennis will host both American International on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. and Nichols on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. Women’s tennis takes on Simmons Friday at 3:30 p.m. as well as American International on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Men’s golf will be participating in the Rhody Invitational this weekend as tee-time is 8:00 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Women’s rowing has a busy weekend, competing against Colgate and Massachusetts on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and then also rowing at MIT with Rutgers on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. Men’s rowing will take on Columbia, Dartmouth and MIT in Ridgefield, NJ on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Men’s and women’s track and field will send select student-athletes to participate in the Colonial Relays at William & Mary April 3-5. The action is set to begin on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. The remainder of the teams will also be competing at New Hampshire with Maine on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
